Melbourne, Australia, Oct. 20, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Judo Bank has increased variable interest rates on its savings products by 0.25% p.a., effective 7 October 2026, following the Reserve Bank of Australia’s decision on 29 September to raise the cash rate target to 4.60%.
The increase applies to both new and existing Savings Account customers. Existing customers do not need to do anything to receive the new rate.
From 7 October, the Judo Bank Personal Savings Account will pay a total variable rate of 5.60% p.a. on balances up to $250,000, made up of a 0.05% p.a. base rate and a 5.55% p.a. bonus rate. To earn the bonus rate, customers must deposit $300 or more into the account each calendar month.
Personal Savings Account rates from 7 October 2026:
| Balance tier | Base rate | Bonus rate | Total variable rate |
| $1 – $250,000 | 0.05% p.a. | 5.55% p.a. | 5.60% p.a. |
| $250,001 – $2,000,000 | 0.05% p.a. | 5.05% p.a. | 5.10% p.a. |
| $2,000,001+ | 0.05% p.a. | N/A | 0.05% p.a. |
The monthly deposit is the only condition required to achieve the bonus rate. There are no withdrawal penalties, balance growth requirements, linked account requirements or minimum card purchases, and the bonus rate is ongoing rather than an introductory offer. Interest is calculated daily and paid monthly, with no monthly account keeping fees.
Judo Bank is an Authorised Deposit-taking Institution (ADI), and eligible deposits are covered by the Australian Government’s Financial Claims Scheme up to $250,000 per account holder.
