New Members Bring Expertise in Healthcare Investment Banking, Biotechnology, Law and Public Policy to Advance the Alliance’s Mission
WASHINGTON, DC, UNITED STATES, September 17, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — The Colorectal Cancer Alliance (Alliance), the nation’s leading nonprofit dedicated to ending colorectal cancer, is pleased to announce the appointment of four new members to its Board of Directors. Each appointee brings unique professional expertise and a personal commitment to the organization’s mission to end colorectal cancer in our lifetime.
“We’re excited to welcome a talented group of new board members whose diverse expertise and insights will strengthen our work,” said Michael Sapienza, CEO of the Colorectal Cancer Alliance. “Their passion and leadership will help drive meaningful progress for patients and families across the colorectal cancer community.”
The new board members include:
– Ross Cohen is a Managing Director in the Healthcare Group of Goldman Sachs’ Investment Banking Division, advising clients in biotechnology and pharmaceuticals. His wife, Siobhan, was diagnosed with early-onset colon cancer in March 2024, inspiring his commitment to advancing awareness, patient advocacy and treatment innovation.
– Lenny Mendonça is a Senior Partner Emeritus of McKinsey & Company and previously served as Chief Economic and Business Advisor to California Governor Gavin Newsom and Chair of the California High-Speed Rail Authority. He has served on numerous nonprofit and civic boards, and co-founded the Half Moon Bay Brewing Company and Inn at Mavericks with his wife Christine Mendonca.
– Cory Tull is a corporate partner and Deputy Office Managing Partner in the Washington, D.C. office of Latham & Watkins, focusing on mergers, acquisitions, and complex business transactions. He became involved with the Alliance after losing his first wife, Corinne, to colorectal cancer in 2020 at age 39, and is devoted to reversing troubling trends in young-onset colorectal cancer.
– Peter Wright is a partner in McKinsey’s Life Sciences practice based in Southern California, advising clients across biotech, biopharma and medtech. He works extensively in oncology as part of McKinsey Cancer Center where he leads research and convenes stakeholders on evolution of the U.S. oncology landscape and opportunities to address gaps in cancer care.
As the Alliance advances its strategic initiatives, including Project Cure CRC and launching an innovative adaptive clinical trial platform to accelerate new treatments, the new board members’ experience will strengthen its work across research, awareness, community, public policy and patient support and advocacy.
The Colorectal Cancer Alliance looks forward to the insight and leadership these new members bring as the organization continues to expand its impact for all those affected by colorectal cancer.
